MEET OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

Lisa Knight, LMSW - Executive Director

Lisa brings more than 17 years of experience in social work to The Layne Project 4 Families, with a professional background spanning child welfare, medical social work, and private practice. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Kansas and her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Washburn University.

Lisa first connected with The Layne Project in 2010 and later spent over a decade working in private practice before returning to join The Layne Project 4 Families team in 2026. Drawn back by her deep respect for the organization’s mission and commitment to families, Lisa now serves as Executive Director, where she is focused on ensuring families receive compassionate, high-quality, and responsive support.

Known for her steady leadership, attention to detail, and heart for helping others, Lisa plays a key role in strengthening the systems and day-to-day operations that support the families served by TLP 4 Families.

Outside of work, Lisa’s compassion continues at home. One of her greatest joys is her beloved Shih Tzu Poodle, Max — who is very much the center of her world.
