MEET OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

Lisa Knight, LMSW, Director of Operations

Lisa brings more than 17 years of experience in social work to The Layne Project 4 Families, with a professional background spanning child welfare, medical social work, and private practice. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Kansas and her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Washburn University.

Lisa first connected with The Layne Project in 2010 and later spent over a decade working in private practice before returning to join The Layne Project 4 Families team in 2025. Drawn back by her deep respect for the organization’s mission and commitment to families, Lisa now serves as Director of Operations, where she is focused on ensuring families receive compassionate, high-quality, and responsive support.

Known for her steady leadership, attention to detail, and heart for helping others, Lisa plays a key role in strengthening the systems and day-to-day operations that support the families served by TLP 4 Families.

Outside of work, Lisa’s compassion continues at home. One of her greatest joys is her beloved Shih Tzu Poodle, Max — who is very much the center of her world.

Chrissy Reynolds, LSCSW, LCSW

Chrissy brings more than 15 years of experience in behavioral health, crisis services, residential treatment, outpatient programming, and justice-involved family support to The Layne Project 4 Families. She earned her Master’s Degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and her Bachelor’s Degree from Missouri Western State University.

Throughout her career, Chrissy has served in leadership roles across community mental health, substance use treatment, residential care, and family-centered services. Her work has included supervising multidisciplinary teams, supporting high-needs youth and adults, leading trauma-informed treatment planning, and collaborating closely with courts, law enforcement, and community agencies to help families navigate complex challenges.

Chrissy is passionate about creating compassionate, person-centered systems of care that help individuals and families feel supported, stabilized, and empowered. Her expertise includes crisis intervention, clinical supervision, program development, court-involved family services, supervised visitation, and trauma-informed practices.

At The Layne Project 4 Families, Chrissy brings a thoughtful, grounded approach to supporting children and families through difficult transitions while helping strengthen the systems surrounding them.

Lori Cull-Deshmukh, LMSW, Program Director

Lori holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Kansas. She embarked on her social work journey at Children’s Mercy Hospital, dedicating twenty years to areas such as trauma and crisis response, adverse childhood experiences, emotional and behavioral challenges, and complex medical care.

Since 2017, Lori has been offering child, family, and individual therapy in a private practice, with a focus on children of divorce, parent-child reunification, co-parenting, and helping individuals navigate divorce, child emotional regulation, and transitions for children and teens. Additionally, Lori is a certified Play Therapist (CPT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapist (PCIT), and a Certified BeH2O Coach.
